The 2010 Abilene May Blowout was a huge success! More then 800 guests made their way to the all new location of Keystone Tractor Works in Colonial Heights, VA.

The much anticipated new museum is nothing short of top notch with a fine display of time honored vintage farm tractors. The monstrous 45,000 square feet of floor space was filled with Keith Jones' outstanding private collection of antique farm tractors. Guests were thrilled by the amazing sneak preview of over 100 antique farm tractors. Be sure to come to the grand opening this fall, there will be yet even more tractors on the museum floor!

Plenty of tractor enthusiasts, friends and family visited throughout the day, including great aunts and uncles (who were a great source of entertainment picking banjos later in the day). One guest by the name of Don had traveled all the way from Florida to not only attend the Blowout, but also brought along his own tractor, a 1918 Fordson, to show and shine with the Keystone collection during the Abilene 2010 Blowout. A group of twenty tractor lovers from Maryland made the trip to see Keystone's new museum. Mitch Daly, a member of the Maryland group reported that they all had a grand time admiring the impressive line up of restored tractors, making the trip well worth the three plus hour ride, each way, to attend

Everyone enjoyed the delicious BBQ, live juggling acts and sounds from the live band. The homemade ice cream was the perfect finish to a great day at Keystone Tractor Works. But the fun wasn't over with desert, there were raffles and door prizes to be drawn, and the newly restored 1947 John Deere M was about to get a new home! Both adults and children paid close attention to their tickets. (Keith made sure that all of the kids had a ticket for themselves for the drawing) He gave away a bunch of replica toy tractors as the prizes to the children.

A tall young man by the name of Mark Straghy bought four tickets during the event and won the John Deere M that was being raffled. Keith Jones offered the raffle winner a choice of the tractor or a cash prize. Mark opted to take the $3,500 cash prize, leaving Keith with the tractor. The day ended with two happy winners for the big raffle prize, one went home with a pocket full of cash and Keith gave the John Deere M to his brother Kurtis Jones. Does this mean we have another collector in the family? Stay tuned to Keystone Tractor Works for more news!
